Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Guidance from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for major tournament

This young athlete boasts substantial social media following

Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known backers as she makes her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns several international courses and often matches against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she stated.

The golfer shared that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa practically told me to compete and have fun," she added.

"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it for the tournament. He's focused on world affairs, making him rather occupied."

As an amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.

Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.

"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to play, have fun, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.

Officials stated that involving Kai helps introduce golf to different demographics, specifically with youth audiences.

The social media influencer has substantial online presence and has started an exclusive fashion and living company.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
